I can't find the words that will praise enough the professional and friendly experience I had tonight with Sparky Nearby. So helpful he asked me to take pictures of the switch board, then discussed exactly what is likely to have caused the lights to go off, looked up the building on the internet, asked about the floor power and main switchboard room downstairs then was able to guide me on how to fix the problem myself in minutes. Went out of his way to save my time and money. Was more than happy to do a night visit but only if all other options didn't work. That saved me hundreds of dollars! If I ever (or when i) need an electrician again I know who am I calling. Thanks very much! Very highly recommend! ~ Ty

Have used Tom and his team a number of times now and each time, he has done a professional job and left everything clean and tidy. As we have a 2 storey house with no above ceiling access, we have had him do various jobs such as sourcing special size spotlights that are now hard to get in order to match some existing ones, as well as giving him some challenging jobs with installing three very large lights for us at heights of 11 ft and 15 ft. He has also removed two other heavy pendant lights for us and plugged and plastered the holes so it was ready for painting. We are extremely pleased with Tom and his staff and he is not only very skilled but a pleasure to have around. Would recommend him highly. ~ ann m

I actually had some communication issues initially, I was quoted to replace a couple of downlights and fix a switch but after the job was complete the invoice I received was double the amount quoted. When I called to query this it was clear there had been a communication issue when the tradesmen were doing the work and Tom very graciously honoured the original quoted amount. The tradesmen who did the work very professional and did great work, but the handling of the billing issue really amazed me. Exceptionally good service from the initial contact on the phone, to booking the job in quickly and sending over the electrician within 48 hours of me raising the job with my real estate. It was great to see a female electrician too, who was extremely professional and meticulous, who arrived when they said she would and provided a courtesy call on the way, nice and friendly with the issue quickly fixed with an awesome result. Sparky Nearby recently completed a full re-wiring of my house in Maroubra…they were brilliant! Dealing with Claire was an absolute delight, totally professional and accomodating. I have been using Tom’s company, Sparky Nearby for 6 years now and can not recommend them highly enough! I contacted Sparky Nearby to replace my bathroom exhaust fan and on a separate occasion to replace my kitchen rangehood. The first was completed almost immediately as the oart was in the van. The second job took longer because I wanted a specific model rangehood exhaust fan. This took longer to get but once in the job was completed quickly and I have been happily using both exhaust fans ever since. The guys did a fantastic job with my apartment kitchen renovation - absolutely thrilled with the outcome. They gave me great advice and found solutions to a couple of tricky elements with my kitchen design that I wasn't sure how to make work. Absolute superstars! Got the job done faster than expected and were SO thoughtful with how they completed the work. For example - they added a power point next to my bed as they could see I had a mess of extension cords and power boards. They also added a power point in the cupboard for a charging station. Absolutely brilliant and could not recommend them enough. ~ Anna D
